From July 27 to August 3, 2025, Detroit turned into a global stage for
peacebuilding through sport, as 80 youth leaders from South Africa, Northern
Ireland, the Middle East, and across the U.S. came together to show that if
young people can play together, they can lead together.
From getting tips on basketball and life from Detroit Pistons up-and-comer Ron
Holland II, to discovering Detroit by bike, and getting the chance to put their
leadership skills to work, coaching local youth on Detroit Day, the Friendship
Games yielded countless memories for your youth.
