GROW HER GAME WITH THE
LA CLIPPERS AND GIRLS PLAY LA
EMPOWERING THE NEXT GENERATION OF
FEMALE LEADERS THROUGH SPORT
This spring, PeacePlayers Los Angeles, in partnership
with the Los Angeles Clippers and Girls Play LA, launched
the Grow Her Game Girls Academy—an 8-week program
designed to empower young female athletes through
basketball and leadership development.
Bringing together 50+ high school girls from across Los
Angeles, the academy provided a transformative experience
both on and off the court. Participants sharpened their
basketball skills through high-energy training sessions
while also engaging in leadership workshops, 昀椀eld trips, and
mentorship from inspiring guest speakers.
The season concluded with a special celebration, highlighting
the growth of girls’ and women’s sports and the ongoing need
to break down barriers that limit access to athletics. Together,
PeacePlayers LA, the Clippers, and GPLA remain committed
to championing equity, diversity, and inclusion—ensuring
that every girl, regardless of background, has the opportunity
to lead, grow, and thrive through sport.
