2024 ACHIEVEMENTS
Signi昀椀cantly developed the local U.S. board,
increasing the number of board members by
50%. This has helped steer the organization’s
vision and direction, with board members
bringing a rich range of expertise in multiple
昀椀elds, such as government, marketing,
corporate, and philanthropy.
Launched inaugural Girls Summit, a two-day
event dedicated to uplifting young women
through sports, leadership workshops, and
community-building activities. Made possible
through strategic partnerships with leading
organizations such as Nike, the New York
Liberty, WSLAM, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation,
MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference, the
Women’s Sports Foundation, Carol’s Daughter.
Hosted National College Decision Day event
at Nike HQ, giving college-bound participants
and their families a chance to celebrate their
next big step. Participants revealed their college
choices, signed letters of intent, and shared
powerful speeches about their PeacePlayers
journeys.

Partnered with Nike and the United Nations to celebrate
the 昀椀rst International Day of Play at the UN Headquarters
in New York. Hosting basketball stations, we engaged 60–80
elementary school kids in a day of fun, teamwork, and play
with purpose.
In partnership with the Ballmer Group and United Way of
Southeast Michigan, expanded summer programming in
Detroit, hosting a six-week summer camp for 80 children that
ran eight hours a day, 昀椀ve days a week. Camp provided kids
with a safe, supportive space to stay engaged and empowered
all summer long.
Partnered with Chicago Housing Authority to create summer
employment initiative for local youth living in public housing
developments, connecting youth with opportunities for
engagement and economic growth during the summer months.
