THE 38 CITY-WIDE TOURNAMENT
Global Exchange participants joined the City-Wide
Tournament, an annual gathering at Hoy Park where
hundreds of kids from across the greater Durban area
come together for basketball and community. This
marked the 昀椀rst time in PeacePlayers’ 23-year history
that LDP participants from other sites attended.
With 550 participants, 100 volunteers, and 30 Global
Exchange members, the event promoted gender
equity and social cohesion through mixed, co-ed
basketball games.
